How to Get Listed in the Platinax Directory

If you're having difficulty getting listed in the Platinax Directory - or simply looking for more helpful information, here's extended information from the submissions page:

Paid Listings

Paid listings are taken very seriously - expect a very prompt listing.

If, for some reason, the site isn't worth listing - like the one I received simply listing website logs for spamming purposes - you get your money back.

Simply put, no listing, no fee.


Free Listings

Free Listings are currently offered, and all submissions are of varying quality.

- The directory sees about 30 free submissions per day
- Acceptance rate is about 1 in 5

NOTE: The Platinax Directory is a B2B Directory looking for business listings.

- A website is not a business listing
- A website that displays a business address is treated as a business listing

I check for an address on the homepage, if not, on the contact page. If not seen in either place, you're disqualified a free listing.

Multiple submissions from the same IP that doesn't "get this" are wasting my time. IP banned to spare both of us.


Even if a site shows a business address, presence of the following will disqualify acceptance:

- AdSense
- Co-op/ Link Vault, etc

If you have either of the above on your site, I won't treat the site as a serious business.

- Multiple websites for the same company

A string of site submissions together, all for different domains with the same contact address on each, is easy to spot. Some even use the same main graphic on each site. IP banned.

- Search engine spam

I sometimes see sites stuffed full of keyworded links just for search engine benefits - for example, a block of links named for every US state on certain Indian webdev sites. It's nothing more than a glorified set of doorway pages, and not worth taking seriously. No listing.

Don't think basic redirects can hide it - all submissions are viewed with Javascript off and Googlebot as the user agent.


Also - don't submit your business website if it isn't even finished yet. You wouldn't believe how many are submitted where the links on the site - or even the site itself - don't even work.
