I tested my server header and it looks like i get this 200 OK responses. But i'm using you're htaccess example file.. (with my urls)

The above example file is working correct right? also after you discoverd about the 200 OK responce?

Good point - there are times when this could be an issue, as ideally the 404 redirect should give a 404 response code, not a 200.
