Default Adsense?

Has anyone had any success with Adsense? I signed up last week sometime and I have made about 4 dollars so far. I always hear about these people who make thousands a month off of it. Just wondering how you guys have been doing.

Making big bucks all depends on traffic. A niche forum or website won't make much but what if your site/blog/forum hasa bout 20,000 visits per day? The law of averages would mean you should get a fairly high return.

I've previously done well with AdSense - however, I did have quite a number of websites involved, though I'm in the process of removing AdSense from them, and I no longer use it on my new sites.

The point about AdSense is that you're only really going to make significant revenues from it if:

1. You have good traffic
2. You're in a commercial vertical

Few people with a single website are going to generate significant revenues from AdSense, unless that website is well established with good traffic.

To be perfectly honest, if you can make arrangements to offer advertising on your site instead, you would probably generate better incomes - AdSense is a program that really favours the advertisers, and provides them advertising at a far lower cost than if they sought direct advertising arrangements themselves.

Just like banner ads and affiliate schemes, the advertisers can get free brand advertising at little cost, and none of these schemes offer the best return to webmasters, in my opinion.

are you sure about that? I read in other forums, in adsense, niches are what matter, find websites related to unknown/undiscovered niches and put adsense and earn along!

Hi there
I started up with adsense around `1 month back, and have made 10$ till now...I am averaging anything from 0$ to 1.5$ per day with my 2 sites which get around 30 unique visitors a day
