How do I get a picture?

As in the title. How do I get a picture to accompany my messages when I have submitted them? Do I need special permission?

Do you see the dark grey navigation bar above that starts on the left with "user cp"?

Click on Quick Links >> Edit avatar

That will give you the ability to assign a picture (avatar) next to your name when posting. You don't have to stay with the same one either.
