It's more that it remains surprising whenever you see frames used, especially when there are dynamic ways to build a site.

LOL, er, I have a favorites folder that I put anything in that I find interesting. What I want to do is some how set up a system so that I can see a image of it in the folder, like when you view graphics in Filmstrip mode. Currently I can really browse through each design as I dont have a thumbnail to prompt my memory, I have to actually load it into a browser and look at it which takes a bit of time. Any ideas?
Heres a current favorite: http://www.icenta.co.uk/ I like clean finishes with subtle tones. The front page here is a little busy for me, but as a template when you go inside its undemanding on the eye. I dont think its brilliant, I just pulled it out of my favorites, but it struck me as worth book marking. I like alot of white, relying on the head banner to dictate the overall colour scheme. Gotta say, I wasn't impressed with that icenta site. It's kinda boring... I mean, I love white space and all, but that isn't a good example of how to use it. It might have worked better if the various elements aligned, that would have helped achieve the clean feel that they seem to have been aiming for.
Another major downside is that the nav menu is screwy in Firefox. Theres a bunch of other things too but I'll shut up, I'm gettin to be the pernickety old man of Platinax.. |

But its always going to be boring. Its a boring site. I must admit, I later went on to look at who did it, and I wasn't impressed with the company, or rather their online portfolio. So in retrospect I guess it wasn't inspiration that drove them, rather scimpyness. Still, I like it. I book mark sites if they have something I like, they dont have to be perfect. For example, the fact that the navigation might not work wouldn't trouble me because i'm just looking at it as a clean looking site with white bits as opposed to a site thats good because of its functionality.
I am seeking subtly at the moment. I've been pondering on the saying 'less is more', |

They're having the same problems as I have with what should have been my CSS-only version of Platinax - damn absolute positioning is no good for footers.
