Google loves up toolbar

In preparation for Valentines Day, Google have loved up the toolbar: see the attached image.

While it may look cute - and I'm sure as a marketing ploy it's great - I'm sure it's not going to melt the hearts of all the webmasters who lost rankings due to the florida/Austin updates.

Of course, Google is still an internet power, and it's clever use of topical themes in its overall branding is well executed. However, let's not forget that a search engine is only as good as its rankings.
