Everything you hear about 70-293 exam is true - it is a REAL bitch. I took it BEFORE 70-290, which was really stupid on my part. Faliled 1st (678) pass second (734). The material can vary GREATLY depending on exam, so know EVERYTHING. Know DIFFERENCES between stub zones, secondary zones, conditional forwarding, etc.; DHCP; RRAS. KNOW subnetting - you can't afford to miss easy points. Groups, nesting, backups, etc. Study EVERYTHING. Infact, i used exam simulation and wholly solved it and Popquiz questions are on my fingertips, almost questions i have done before time.

Microsoft exams have become increasingly difficult for several reasons.
Two or three years ago, the MS exams were criticized for their lack of relevance to the day-to-day duties of a network administrator. Some critics even accused MS of using the exams to promote their products. I think the reason the material on the 70-293 varies so much is because MS is trying to make sure their students cover all the bases. |
