what amazes me about this thread is the simple truth that people feel the need to do everything in thier business i.e. the the service itself, accounts, marketing, sales, operations etc and yet when you look at the big companies the outsource.
if you get an expert in they will work quickly and produce results, which is why I dont do SEO/ PPC, my accounts, HR etc as this also lets me do what I do best i.e. help companies sell more. Lets remember it is hard to run a business but it is even harder to be anexpert in everything.

I guess it depends on the scale of the business and how much you can earn by doing the day job. If you can afford to pay other (experts) to do the specialist jobs then that's fine. If you cannot afford to pay other (experts), then doing the job yourself maybe the only option.
I propose there is no single answer to this thread. It’s very much down to the individual and the status of the business. Gary

Hi everyone
I can see by some of the responses to Brian Turners sales & marketing plan, that there is a lot of experience about in this forum. Maybe some of you can advice me on how to market my new mmog business game.I was going to start by marketing for beta testers etc. If any of you think there my be a better way than this just let me know.
