I just tried to log into Hotmail, and now I'm presented with a "sign up" page, which includes a link to a privacy policy that simply reloads the page. Also, when I first went there, the pages was mainly in Spanish (I think), which had me thinking I'd been phished.
Seems fine now, but I'm apparently supposed to agree to a privacy policy I can't read. It's also a point of note that the sign up process insists that using Hotmail leads to acceptance that targeted marketing e-mails can be sent to me. Hm...maybe I've been using my Hotmail account a little too much... anyone else seeing the changes? Anything changed inside with it??

Seems fine enough - the privacy statement came up once I clicked through the acceptance of terms. I used to have a paid-for Hotmail account, but I believe that it has since expired - perhaps this is the reason for the difference?

it could be but in Spanish, unless you signed up in a Spanish country originally? My terms and conditions come up in flemish/french as I signed up in Belgium when I lived there. If you are not having any problems it is ok. But maybe use a completely unrelated pc, log in and change your security settings and password - just to be on the safe side.

I think Microsoft just had a bug while implementing it.
![]() Still, was fun for a moment thinking I'd been phished. Very convincing.
