Branding this site with an appropriate keyword can only help. It'll rank better, it'll bring in more members/hits and will essentially become a more easily accessed resource... but i'm sure you know this already
I can't see a reason to hang onto the Platinax name that isn't overcome by the benefit of a keyword name. Go for it!
