I'd say it's article submission because Google takes into consideration where you write your articles and build links from, so when you submit your articles or content to high authority article directories, it tends to see your content to be of quality and will favor your site.

This is also another reason why writing unique content from high authority blog sites like wordpress, squidoo, hubpages that link to your main site as well as link to other equally high authority sites work for you. You are building credibility and authority and not just links. And Google loves that.

...I agree. SEO is all about creating a good distributions when it comes to Off-Page measures. This might be an exception but I personally have had quite some success with just acquiring backlinks and targeting certain keywords specifically. If your site moves up from SERP#3 close to the top on SERP#1 your traffic should go through the roof with increases somewhere in the area of maybe 300-400%...

All four, although social media is big these days, and apparently article marketing is not as big as it used to be, the internet is always changing and as marketers, we have to be ahead in the game

In my opinion using all of those is a good idea. Nothing is going to give you instant results so be patient. Sometimes it takes months depending on the keyword. It's well worth reading around some of the SEO blogs.

All you guide provided great points. But let me show you my opinion.

The best method to get MORE traffic is by writing quality content that helps improve quality of visitors' life in some way.

People will link to such quality content. In a long run, you will get tons of inbound links in an easy way.

As you know, inbound links is one of the important factors the Search Engine uses to rank a website.
