Hi
Forums Members, I was just wondering have anyone every got their account closed, shutdown or banned for no reason at all. There have been people I have talked to who have had problems like this, which is very sad. These are people who have ran their businesses online, weather it was an eBay store ect.. I will love to know weather anyone here, has been missed used by these services in this way or another? If so! I will love to hear your story. |

Hi,
I've never had a problem but sometimes companies will close accounts if they believe there has been, or there is a potential of, a security breach. Suspicious activity, same account being logged in at over 20 computers at the same time etc... Happens all the time! |

Never been banned from Youtube, Paypal, or eBay.
Been banned from forums before, though.

We get calls from people who get shut down every week. It usually has to do with charge back issues but it can happen for a variety of reasons. We just provided a new home for this merchant nevergetbusted.com after Google shut them down. Just to give one example. The key is to put quality systems in place that will monitor your account so you can react and correct issues before your account is flagged.

I was banned from google adwords for something they accused me of doing, refused to prove I did or produce any basis for their ban, and that I know I never did! We are a high integrity company and have never been involved in any internet scam, or questionable practice, or anything even vaguely questionable that we are aware of. It was devestating to our business for a short time, we lost half our traffic, revenues slid. It was terrible experience that google could do this in such an arbitrary way then refuse to discuss the matter. We nearly gave up, but then got a new lease of fight back :-)

Good for you!
Google can ban you, as can the others you mentioned, if they even sniff that you are doing something against their TOS. This can be something as simple as dodgy backlink building so be very careful |
