Forums are especially filled with people that might work on a single website, make basic SEO changes to it - and then think that because they rank top of Google for "pink elephants chelmsford" that they therefore know how to SEO anything.
![]() Thanks for the comment on the talk - hope you enjoyed SES.

Brain,
I'd whole heartedly agree with you there. There definitely is alot of nonsense sometimes from 1 site hobbyists working in low competition fields. There are also those who post continually, god knows how they get any work done. BTW re SES, for the investment don't you think that one or two of the talks, presentations are poor. One of the talks that I heard was just a google guidelines page. cheers, Michael. |

I think SES/SMX and similar will always have variable quality in the talks - not least because the talks must pitch to different level of user, from inexperienced to advanced.

I agree that the audience ranges, but having attended a few conferences I think that given the cost and investment some of the speakers who know doubt are handsomely paid should offer up more than a general talk, and it would be helpful if examples could be used even if general (without comprising clients).
Time is obviously a big restriction and perhaps the number of speakers on a panel doesn't help. |
