Hi All,
Im new here and from what I have seen the forum and website looks great. I am a student studying ICT, Media and Geography. Today I would like you to answer a couple of questions I have to help me with my research for media. The first question is: 1. Do you take notice of advertisements, in forms of Print, Film and Web. 2. Have you ever bought a product as the result of seeing an advertisement, if so what was the estimated value and when did this happen (rough year) 3. Do you believe adverts directly affect spending by the average consumer ? I would be hugely grateful if you could answer any of these questions of which I can then analyse. Thank you in advance Chris Last edited by christm3; 06-01-2009 at 02:37 PM. |

Well, advertising works - some forms better than others - otherwise it wouldn't be such a massive multi-billion dollar industry.

Depends on your definition of adverts. If you're talking about planned ad campaigns, then yes, there's absolutely no doubt about that. If your definition includes a note in a newsagent window or local classifieds, then possibly not. |

You need to clarify what you mean by advertisement. Advertising online takes many forms. With banner ads, a lot of internet users have developed nbanner blindness. The most effective form of advertising at the moment is recommendations from people you know or feel you know
getting someone to buy after one viewing of your advert these days is a very rare thing perhaps you should condider posting a poll |

I think TV ads are most powerfull. The web ones are probably the list effective, as everyone tends to just ignore them. Re: 2: Yes, many times. Re: 3: Yes. Regards, Gabi |
