To build a real Internet business that succeeds, there are generally 3 things that you need to do. All successful Internet businesses usually possess at least 2, if not all 3 of the things I'm about to tell you. If you want to build your business overnight, concentrate on these 3 things now:

1. Create Your Own Website

You need to have your own website to build a real brand online. You can't do it by promoting affiliate products for the rest of your life. So you have got to get a website at some time. If you don't have any money now, start out with affiliate marketing, make a few sales, then re-invest it into your business by getting your own website.

2. Get An Autoresponder

The guys who are making the big sales from online marketing all have a big email list. Even eBay and Amazon grabs the email addresses of new members to send them updates every once in a while! You can make thousands per email once you have built a large, responsive list. The first step is to get an autoresponder. Aweber and Get Response are two industry leaders in the autoresponder market.

3. Get Traffic!

The third thing you need to concentrate on is getting traffic. Traffic is like water for living things. You can't survive without it. So you have to got think real deep about how you are going to get unique, targeted traffic to your website. What are some things you can do to get traffic? Think article marketing, AdWords ads, ezine ads, forum marketing, and joint ventures!

Autoresponders are nothing, a website is nothing, and traffic is nothing, unless there is a clear strategy behind all of these.

I think the most important thing when it comes to doing this is making sure you can show its not a scam because i think that turns people away most of the time

Building a real business online just like off line requires patience, knowhow and hard work .

Yes you can build your own website but as an estimate there are millions of websites out there what is going to distinguish yours from the rest? - you must have a plan which is well thought out. You need to understand how you are going to make money .

Most hosting accounts come with a preinstalled autoresponder as standard so its not a big deal .

Getting traffic is not the begining and end off you need good quality traffic - by good quality i mean well targeted traffic other wise you will just pay for bandwidth with very little sales if you are selling a product.

Personally I don't like autoresponders. Maybe you mean it is important to set up emails that are automatically sent when a user on your website completes an action like signing up to a newsletter or purchasing a product? If so, then yes these are very important but I wouldn't put them in the top 3

Not much help for anyone, Starting any business needs a good sit down and a well thought strategy planned out, there is no quick fix solutions
