Have you done absolutely everything that you can to maximise your ranking? After all, Google only really puts websites at the top that are either unique or getting the most hits out of all the sites it's crawling with the keywords someone has put in. You don't need to be an expert to do SEO to be honest, there is a 'cheat list' available online that will help you do everything, which can be found at seomoz.
Make sure you submit your site to Google by going to google accounts, adding a sitemap, robots.txt etc, also try Submit Express to submit your site to all major (and not so major) search engines. Just go through your website with a 'fine-tooth comb' as it were, to make sure your entire website is search engine friendly. Personally, I have that cheat list printed out and on my wall. I did try posting the links to all of the above things that I've said, but I only have one post so I'm not allowed. If you need any help, just send me a pm and I'll email you with all the links that I posted. |

Oh, come on - that site looks so poor - there's barely any content on it whatsoever, there's nothing to really engage and keep users - what you need to ask is why you really want to rank with a site that is so pants in the first place?!
Make an effort - build a proper site, and try and engage users - read up about SEO and make an effort. You say you've done all the meta, but there's not even a page title on the homepage - just (untitled document)!!

Eh... my only suggestion would be: look around on the Internet. Look at the websites that rank high (with competitive keywords) in your industry and simply learn from them by comparing their websites to yours.

It's not bad for your first attempt, just be as thorough as possible, and remember that cleanliness is next to godliness!! Make sure all of your code is XHTML Strict/Transitional, and it'll help you develop your own design methods and also help your site to be more SEO friendly. As previously said, the META tag thing is pretty much a myth, you need to use a combination of methods to improve your SEO.
Go to W3schools.com to make sure you're XHTML strict or transitional, and also combine it with CSS. Then use the W3 validators to make sure everything is valid. Once again, I can't post links, otherwise I would've. |
