Listen folks, I would Follow Joffff (That's Jo with 4 f's) All those F's where making my eyes go funny.

Anyway, I will be following Joffff on twitter to see what he has to say about his industry. I am not going to go on and on about how good twitter is. The way I see twitter it is like me, you either love it or hate it. There is no in between.

What I can tell you is... I look after marketing for SME's and I asked a restaurant to give their customers postcards that I designed. The postcard said, 'Like what you eat, we tweet, why not follow us on twitter' Followed by the web address. That was back in October. They have now dropped the email marketing side of their marketing plan. They Tweet! I shown them how to tweet a price list, printable vouchers and special offers. They now use this. Since October they only need to tweet and 9 out 10 tables are booked. That's the power of twitter when combined with a clear marketing message.

If you want to do this in your business, just send me a message and I will get back to. I don't sell what I do so no sales pitch will be ramed in your face.

I am off to follow joffff (jo with 4 f's) on twiiter!

Sean and The Brush

P.S. To follow me on twitter just look for me seanandthebrush, but only of you want to. Please don't expect me to start follow you, I will check to see what you tweet before I decide.

Agree with you there. It takes time to build the relationships to make twitter really work.
I think with regards to autopoests, you usually can sniff them out from a mile off

By the way, anyone fallen for this twitter scam?

It is not difficult to locate data that evidences Twitter's impact on our culture. Nor is it hard to prove that its rise to popularity has been rapid. What could be more problematic is defining just why it is so many of us want to dedicate time informing everyone in the world what we are doing at any given moment. It seems that the most likely explanation lies in the idea of “being in the loop”. Analysts have estimated that there are 1.2 million active users, posting in excess of 2.25 million tweets every day. London has the highest population of twitterers of any city, and this is indicative of the UK's fondness for this media. All this seems to suggest that being aware of trends and your competitors on Twitter and perhaps even setting up your own account could be worthwhile.

I have to agree with most here Twitter is one of the most powerful tools out there in the new evolving world of SMO (Social Media Optimisation). One link from here to a landing page or a video and the whole thing can go viral in a matter of days and produce some incredible results the likes of which more traditional SEO techniques would have taken months to achieve.

Yes there was a lot of talk about Google last week and speculation they were going to buy Twitter but no one was too sure if it was to be an outright acquisition, part acquisition or just a search deal?
It seams to have disappeared from the headlines now though

twitter is useless if you are following many other users, however, it can be beneficial if you are not following many, but have many followers. THAT is how you are successful on twitter.

Twitter is also useful from a real time search perspective. If you want to find out what people are saying right now about your company or world situation then a quick look on twitter search can highlight very interesting data.
