Being an affiliate is really a mindset thing. Would you

service issues including people who are only want to give

Indeed - why generating millions in profits for your own company, when instead you can get scraps by making other companies millions?

Seriously, if someone can't be bothered building up a proper business, then affiliate marketing should not be seen as an easy business by proxy.

Affiliate marketing is hard - there is a lot of competition and a lot of hurdles. Affiliate marketing requires a serious business minded approach as any other serious business.

Personally, I'd suggest anyone who is really good at driving sales to another site should seriously consider setting up shop themselves, and improve their profit margins considerably.

Thats the question always pops in my mind!

If you can drive traffic to your website, why not taking one step further to source the product and sell on your own!

I think the "risk" factor scares people a lot...

I'm an affiliate, but part time, I spend the day at working like most other people. At least I know I'm not messing any bidy about as there's no need for a customer to call me, they can call the shop directly..

Good and bad points on both sides but suits me better at the minute (unless I get sacked and then things may change)

Interesting psot here, I couldn't agree with you all more about affiliate marketing being a hard niche and market to get into. I prefer being the ebook writer/soruce creator. A similar way to affilaite marketing would be to get yourselves some joint venture partners who can promote your product to their mailing list - that maybe a solution forward to making some extra money.
