I'd choose the word 'stupid' rather than 'contentious'. There's a market for hitmen too, but that doesn't make it ethical to supply it.

But dont you think the technique which indian seo companies use is just for short time, for the sites they work it doesent last long on SERP's. And as engines are getting more smarter day by day they will definately loose ranking in SERP's
