Not at all - it is so easy to go through any Top 10 list of pages ranking for any keyword, and find that they are absolutely not ordered by Toolbar PageRank value.

I have tended to use page rank as a measure of how my link building is going rather than anything more than that. If the ranking goes now then I know I am doing something wrong with my link building and visa-versa.
