I was just wondering if affiliate payments are tax deductible in the same way as advertising would be?
So say for instance I pay an affiliate £300 - can I deduct this from my tax liability? I am presuming that it would be as the affiliate would be responsible for paying tax on it? If it isn't then how is it accountible for tax purposes?

Just keep a clear record of payments made and put them through as an expense which is therefore deducted from income/profit before tax. You are after all paying for advertising in effect.
