I'm thinking of getting a company car this year. I've looked online, but all the calculations seem to be for New cars as oppsosed to used cars.
My company is looking to give me a £50,000 car which is about 7/8 years old and has a 3.5 Litre engine. Anyone know what the tax considerations would be? |

Not sure you want to know!!! its based on emissions ( you can look this up on the web for the type of car being offered) and that car sounds like it would be v high. Can you not opt out?

Depending on your mileage a would doubt that your proposed method would be cost effective. I would charge the company back at 40 per mile etc and that way you will pay less tax
