I've been speaking to a client who manages their own PPC campaigns in house and they've said that Google had closed their AdWords account a few weeks ago due to "potential fraudulent access". Unfortunately, because the client doesn't check their campaigns regularly (nearly 4 weeks had passed!), they didn't realise and consequently had no PPC activity.
What is more annoying though is that Google didn't see fit to contact the client to let them know what they were up to. Considering some people rely on AdWords for their income, it's just another scary insight into a company that has such a friendly user focused appearance but in reality is just out for themselves. Has anyone else had a similar experience? |
