Default ukeasily down

Uh-oh. Webhost ukeasily - run by Port9 Limited - has been completely offline since around 15:30 yesterday.

It seems the servers have been unplugged at the datacentre.

Luckily I've been able to contact the data centre to see about recovering my data - have 3 reseller accounts with ukeasily and recovered 1, just hoping I can recover the other 2 as well.

Anyone else with ukeasily?

UKgrid have opened the server ports so people can recover data - already backed everything up.

That's bad news for the UK Hosting market - especially after the recent LINX and Servage problems

I personally just couldn't see how the prices they were offering were sustainable so am not very surprised by these events.

You're very lucky to have got your data back Brian, It always pays to have an offsite backup!

Just hope that too many people are not 'burned' by this, give the people who run a fair and decent ships bad names.

That's one of the problem with requiring lots of reseller accounts.

Luckily I've already been working with Alex Monaghan to implement automated backups for my most important sites, so will prioritise these this week.
