Default online business on a shoestring.

Hi, first id like to say what a fantastic site you have here.

I was just wondering what kind of businesses you can set up on a shoestring that doesnt require too much investment and that will return a nice little earner part time...

i had an idea of selling car cleaning/valeting supplies online maybe in an ebay shop i no theres alot doing this and theres big competition from big brands but if there was something unique i believe it wouldnt be too bad.

has anybody had any experience in this field? or can you tell me some other ideas as i would be willing to try something i havent and put it down to experience.

thanks

Something I recommended to friends years ago (and of course was never acted upon) was to create up tech blogs focused in specific niches. It won't bring in a lot of money in the short term, but over the long-term, if you could keep it up just 1-2 hours per day covering news, views, reviews, and commentary, then you could look at developing a strong income in the right niches. Monestisation would come via Adsense, affiliate marketing, and direct advertising.

Keyword here is niche, rather than generic site.

Hope that helps.

It seems to me that a "bookstore" offering pdf dowloads of expert reports that solve problems in niche fields has a future. A pdf costs nothing to create and can be viewed by authors not only as a potential small income, but also a self-liquidating promotion for their business or service.

I'm probably going to be doing a bit of this a sideline to another entrerprise, reports selling for $5-10 USD. But I know a guy who does big business selling specialized taxation pdf guides for around $70 a copy.

The perfect title for a downloadable pdf report: "How To Make Big Bucks Selling Downloadable PDF Reports Online" :-)
