As my family's moving out of serviced apartment soon I need to decide which ISP I should go with. Since my family's internet use is quite heavy, I'm going to subscribe to the top-end service. Currently, the fastest Singtel offers is 25mbps and Starhub offers 30mbps, and Singtel one is a bit pricier than the Starhub despite the speed differences.
I guess there shouldn't be too much difference between 30mbps and 25mbps, so what I'm looking for is reliability, trustability and customer service. What ISP are you currently subscribed to, and how do you find them? Please share your experience. Thanks in advance |

The issue isn't advertised speeds - it's the actual speed of service on the ground.
Many broadband providers offer "speeds up to", but in reality, these are rarely reached for most customers. 2c.

You also want to check on the small print. 25/30M with suitable core infrastructure to allow you to actually use this will not be cheap. Far too many ISP's sell more capacity than they have the ability to deliver as will be seen by the way the ISP's are starting to make a fuss over things like the video on demand services from the BBC & ITV.
