Wow!! This is wierd. My Internet Explorer no longer has a browser window for me to enter url addresses. Anybody know why and how this happened? And more importantly, how can I get it back up?
I looked around a bit and looked in the "HELP" links. No help that I could find there. If you got any ideas, please reply. Thanks, Hubert

It's called "MicroSoft Windows" It doesn't work right because it doesn't have to.
You are probably also suddenly missing the little tab to be be able to go back several pages at once, too, right? They just decided to mess people around. You used to be able to click on the top bar and "Customize", but that seems to have gotten deranged, as well. I realize this isn't very helpful. I used Firefox for a few years until they started giving me updates without permission, now use Opera which is for much further advanced it's hilarious. You might want to consider switiching.

What version of IE are you on? You can try right clicking on the top bit where it used to be, and you should see an option for Customise Toolbar (as Lin pointed out). That should open up a box showing all the different buttons you can put on your toolbar. There's two panes, current toolbar buttons are on the right, the ones you can add are on the left. See if the address bar button is on the left side. If so, click it once, then click on the right-pointing arrow between the two panes (to move it to your 'current' buttons), then click on OK. Hopefully that'll sort it and you should see the address bar again |

Thanks for your replies and suggestions. Lin, I have a nephew that just recently went from a long term PC man to a new Apple Employee. You sound like him. LOL.
Will keep you posted of what, if anything fixes my problems. (at least with IE) Hubert
