i have an online store, and everything's just messed up. i keep forgetting follow-ups and important dates bacause too many people send quiries online. how do i handle this?

A diary would be one, but also some system of keeping track of where each project is. You can do that without specialist software. A text file on each project saying what needs to be done, move it to a folder marked "completed" when it's done.. just move it out of the folder if something gets added. That's a basic version of the system I use.

On the customer side of things, try InvoiceIt. I've not tried it yet but I plan to give it a go tonight or tomorrow if I get time.
