Default Offbeat marketing

Thanks to bumfluff's fantastic suggestion, I'd like to open the floor to more offbeat marketing suggestions. What strange places do you leave your business cards? Is your car covered in advertising for your company? More importantly, what actually works?

Not so much offbeat, but I do have a photo on my business card, as I figure it's so easy to forget who you talked to, so having a photo makes you memorable. I guess you could call it business card optimisation.

Of course, with the above strategy, you could also put some gorgeous looking woman on the card - though you may end up with very untargeted enquiries from it.

I guess that depends on where you leave them. If you target your audience correctly, the scantily-clad lady will grab the attention of the already-qualified audience

There are a number of phonebooths around here where that marketing strategy seems to have been extensively tested

I often leave my business cards in newspaper stands. I can't think of word for it, but the little metal bins that hold newspapers. I'll leave a few cards in the bin after a purchase a paper.

You must live in America? We dont have that stuff in England. The poor people would steel all the papers to draft proof their hovels and stoke the fire place.
