Default Kid starts chocolate factory

Not bad - 15 years old, and already employing his parents and making chocolate for national supermarket chains.

A 15-year-old boy with dyslexia has started his own chocolate factory after winning contracts to supply supermarkets.

Louis Barnett, from Kinver, Staffs, left school aged 11 after being diagnosed with dyslexia dyspraxia and began making chocolates at home.

New contracts have meant he has had to expand his firm Chokolit and has moved to a factory in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

He has taken on new staff, including his parents Phil and Mary Barnett.

The Chokolit website could do with a bit of a hand, but what a fantastic achievement.

LOL takes on his parents - cheap labour I presume... very funny. Just goes to show we don't need no education. Agree with Joff the site needs a good design on board.

This is living proof that a business degree means nothing...This kid clearly thinks outside of the box like our American counterparts. This is what we need here in the UK, more creative unconventional entrepreneurs like him.

There is actually a temptation to respond and say that thinking outside of the box has nothing to do with being British or American.

However, I've seen plenty said on how encouraging and positive people in the USA, Canada, Australia, when people say they wish to achieve something - but in the UK people are more likely to dismiss your goals as daft and tell you to get a "proper job", etc.

I guess another big pointer is that the BBC site makes a big deal of the dyslexia and having to leave school early. Because we're so easily class-conditioned, it's easy to presume he can't achieve real goals - yet in the USA, they have the mentality that "anyone can become President". They exemplified that with George W. Bush.
