Default How to optimise blog feeds: Wordpress

Here's a handy little post giving tips on something I've never tried: optimising your Wordpress feed to add category sorting and an image, too:
http://www.closed-loop-marketing.com...for-wordpress/

It seems like a good idea to add to higher end sites - though is probably a total pain if you edit the feed on multiple sites and have to keep redoing this after every Wordpress upgrade.

Hm...I wonder if adding an image to a feed means you could get it to display every time someone simply republishes your feed on their site, such as scraper? Could be interesting, though I figure the script publishing the feed would need the image parameters built in.

One thing I'm not yet sold on - providing full feeds. I always give partial, because of two issues:

1. RSS scrapers - a couple of years back, just ripping out content from RSS feeds and republishing it with Adsense was all the rage. I would prefer to minimise theft, thank you.

2. Non-visitors - if someone is able to read your site content without ever visiting it, how are they going to be woo-ed by your design, your features, and other forms of engagement - and how are they going to be able to see your ads and click on your Adsense/affiliate banners? Funnily enough, webmasters used to be up in arms against programs that download a cache of loads of targeted sites for the exact same reason!
