Google adsense and Google adwords: Which one better

I have been leraning to know more about google adsense and google adwords

In term of promotion to get traffic which one is better?
If we have signed up one of them, so signed up another one would it waste money or would it be a good investment?

montyauto, you are somewhat confused - Google Adwords is a program used by advertisers to buy traffic - Google Adsense is a program used by publishers to sell traffic.

One takes your cash, the other gives it.

Both are great spending your money.

Adsense is Googles way of advertising their services, they pay you peanuts for every customer you send their way. Well actually it is less than peanuts.

lol, you don't seem to know much about Google Adsense by the sounds of things. Google Adwords is so that you can advertise and Adsense is so that you can earn.

I avoid both, but thats just me!!

Adwords is fine but you really have to spend a lot of time on it and you have to make sure you use broad matched or exact matched terms otherwise it can start to cost you a lot of money.
