Couldn't agree more with Bumfluff. photoshop will only product bitmaps which cannot be scaled up, whereas a vector can be scaled to any size. So if you intend to print your logo you really should be producing it in vector format.
Try downloading a logo from the web and printing it locally. Even on an inkjet printer you can see it's not of sufficient quality (72dpi, as apposed to a minimum of 300 dpi for printing) |
