Hi
Friends, I am not using floppy drive this days because I use rewriteable CD/DVD‘s this days and I think it is more reliable then floppy’s, it's gone damage in high moisture weather and it can carry virus witch I suffered some months ago from that day I stop use floppy’s, but I think we should keep floppy drives in our computers who knows it will needed any day and it is also useful then..

I saw this thread, looked at my main PC, and noticed it had a floppy drive. And I thought, geez, how old?

I took the floppy drive out of my computer. It's only ever useful if you need to use a recovery disk. If I ever do need to use one (and I haven't for over 8 years), I'll reinstall it then. For normal transfer of files, I find USB memory to be much more useful.

Floppy Disks are retired now, you can use CD's and DVD's even USB thumb drives to boot from!
