Re: Desperate salespeople
TPS is a great idea and thank you Anthony for bringing it up.
In the UK, every company should check thier data against the register to see if any person in company or the whole company have opted out.
A few key points of note on this.
1: A person in a company or a number of people can opt out but if the main office number has not be registered, you can still call the company but not the person's DDI unless they give it to you.
i.e. the HR manager of company x who has a DDI can opt out but you can call the main office and ask for her, but if you called her DDI you would be breaking the law.
2: Homeowners need to only register once. A company needs to reregister ever year so companies that have opted out could well forget to reapply and hence should not be removed from your database!
