How will we transport when the oil runs out of the earth?

I know that there are some electric vehicles but they are so slow and expensive...i think that we are getting back in time...some persons that dont have money to buy an electric vehicle, will have to transport themselves in a horse or in a donkey?Or the prices get lower, or i dont know how will it be...

Have you heard about fuelcells or ethanolcars before? Here in Stockholm the local buss is already using fuelcells. It is quiet, environmentally friendly but it is very expensive at the moment.

they are not so slow and expensive.

Hydrogen can't be used!

Until electric ways are more popular, we can resort to how people used to travel thousands of years ago! Bring back walking on feet, riding on horses, etc. I wouldn't be a fan of that, though :P I should really walk some more. It's so easy to just get in a car or bus, but I'd be up for things like biking places, etc.

The way the automobile industry is coming up, it is sure that one the fossil fuel will run dry...the alternate energy is not in sight in foreseeable future...I think the indiscrinate use of cars and vehicles should be curbed at any cost...it is the root cause of environmental disorder.

We still have 50yrs to go vth petrol, diesel and other gasolines.

And have you heard of biofuels??? Its already in use but not commercialized. Still researches are going on how to take advantage of biofuels. Do a google on it.
