Default Re: Keyword Density Tools

Hi Brian,

I agree with everything you say, but I think you have to take into account where they are now and where they want to be. I think they are nowhere near as far forward as people think. I think I've said it before that google can be pretty poor if you are looking for something specific, don't get the results you are looking for and no amount of tweaking of the search seems to affect the results.

I monitor a number of sites other than my own watching their movements for certain keywords. One of the most interesting ones I monitor came up when I was trying to see how well my blog was doing. As it's a "commercial loan blog" I naturally input those 3 keywords (without quotes)(this was early 2008). To my surprise in the top 2 (and has been all year) was one that had a heading "Commercial Loan Blog" and another header message "Hints and Tips For Commercial Loan Agents". That blog was set up in feb 2007 and there hasn't been a single post on it.... IMO that's a pretty poor result to have survived in the top 2 over what must be numerous updates!

I'd be interested to know your thoughts on how it is returned so high with zero page rank. To go direct just put the 3 KW's together and add ".com", but it's a top 2 result.
