how to work from 2 offices
i want to work from my home office as well as a remote office but not too sure how to setup the hardware.
i have the on-steroids pc with 24" screen, cordless keyboard/mouse, decent printer, etc. (and on the truly upside; a worth-every-cent herman miller aeron chair and wonderful views.)
i want to be able to be flexible as to where i work from.
apart from the inconvenience and associated risks, i don't really want to cart a laptop from place to place; it seems so 90s to physically carry digital files around.
i'm ok with duplicating the required hardware/software, but mostly concerned with keeping all files up to date and in one spot. would also be nice if it could be offsite so backup is handled too.
i'm too small to go the exchange server option. and too technically unmotivated to want to try. has anyone confronted this before?
