Internet Business Forums - View Single Post - Changing ammount of time before new posts go?

The first thing I click is new posts, but sometimes if I read a message,
but then start writing replies or go looking around at other sites, by the
time I get back the new posts are no longer highlighted.

Is there a way of extending the time that new posts are displayed?
