And the lesson is - always send the most squeamish relative to identify a body for funeral fun.

That body must've been quite a mess though.

Btw - it doesn't mention if the daughter was actually pleased that he wasn't dead.

After re-reading the story I can't quite understand it. The last line:

"Squire's sister identified the dead man as her brother after viewing the body at the coroner's office this week, police said."

implies that it wasn't her dad that was dead but her brother instead.
