In general, what's the worst job/employment you've had?
Once after dropping out of uni, I secured accomodation for myself and girlfriend, but her grant wasn't coming in on time and I needed to get full-time work. I managed to get work at a MegaBowl - basic bowling, bar, diner set up - but it wasn't enough hours to support us. So I took on extra hours as a morning cleaner for a while, and found myself cleaning toilets for a living. And the commentators are all correct - the women's toilets are always the worse. ![]() Finally got offered longer regular hours, so was able to get out of the cleaning shifts. Something for the CV I guess, though.

My first job was at British Home Stores in Southend on Sea in the cafeteria working the dishwasher. It involved standing in a little space taking dirty trays from a little slot where people shoved them, putting the contents of the trays in a sort of conveyer belt fed dishwasher and unracking the clean stuff at the other end. Within about 10 minutes of starting I had scalded myself on the boiling tea in the metal teapots, and by the end of the day was more or less completely dead, I was so tired. It soon got to the point where I was just exhausted and sweaty when I came out of work. I can't recommend it as a way of earning pocket money.

I worked as a print finisher for a while, that was probably the worst job I've had. It was basically collating and stuffing envelopes, real no-brains stuff. And the sales and management treated you like shit. After I left, I found out they started operating a scam where new people in the finishing department weren't even getting minimum wage, so I reported them. Gits.
